As a church, ministry is what we do . . .
Music is the lifeblood of our church. We are encouraged as God’s people to sing in praise and joy. Our Minister of Music, Mary DeLibero, brings a wealth of talent, experience and energy to our worship services, and we are blessed to have a wide array of music-makers: singers, instrumentalists, handbell choir, Dixieland ensemble, children’s choir, African drum choir, and much more. We greet Advent annually with a service of Lessons and Carols in early December and hold other music events throughout the year. Come make music with us!!!
“What good is it… if someone says he has faith but does not have works? …. I will show you my faith by my works”. We are told to feed, clothe, visit and comfort those who are in need. Jesus also made it clear that everyone is our neighbor. We strive to follow this teaching through our outreach here, near and far--both down the street and across the world. Our strong history of outreach and witness provides food, supplies, and monetary donations to many groups and institutions, and our Congregational Care Ministry provides visitation, support and comfort for those in need locally.
Learning, growing, wondering, discovering…. We are each on our own faith journey--walking with God and with one another. We offer age-specific groups and many intergenerational learning and growing events. In addition to Sunday Church school, youth groups, youth mission trips, and adult study groups, we offer a variety of other learning opportunities throughout the church year.
