Racial Justice at Rocky Hill Congregational church

IMG_1461_edited.png

In the days following May 25, 2020 we were horrified to witness the murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer kneeling on his neck for an agonizing 9 minutes and 29 seconds. We were grief-stricken and outraged to witness this senseless act.

We are galvanized to act to eliminate such acts and to further better understanding of racial injustice in our nation and in our community.   Thus the Rocky Hill Congregational Church established a Racial Justice Steering Committee which has met frequently since being established to begin the work of furthering efforts to eliminate racial injustice.  This page is devoted to this mission and to the mission of further educating us on the racial issues facing the nation today.
