Adult Learning & Seeking

Our varied learning programs offer opportunities for personal and spiritual growth.

Together, we study to better understand who God is calling us to be individually and as a community of faith. Our programming is open to all. All that is needed to participate is an open heart and mind, and a healthy dose of curiosity!

Below is just a sample of how we learn together.

Bible Study

At different points in the year, we come together to take a deeper look at our sacred text. We draw on each other’s wisdom and life experiences to uncover what truths may be found in the foundational stories of our faith.

Book Groups

We love to read! Our book conversations are centered on readings that open us up to new thinking, and ideas that illuminate our personal lives and inform us on how we can be the church in the world today.

A sampling of previous book selections:

  • The Case for Heaven, Mally Cox-Chapman

  • A House United, Alan Hilton

  • How to Begin When Your World Is Ending, Molly Phinney Baskette

Second Hours & Other Educational Opportunities

Throughout the church year, we find the opportunity to come together on topics important to our congregation, including social justice, history, environmental concerns, and other timely issues. These events may include a featured speaker, a movie, or lecture. Whether held after Sunday worship or during the week, these learning sessions offer us a chance to receive and expand our knowledge on matters of shared concern.
