Welcome!
We hope that you like what you see on this website and that you will decide to visit us.
Here is a list of questions you may have. If you have other questions, by all means, please contact us.

Our services are a mix of tradition and contemporary worship elements.
Our services are approximately one hour long. You’ll hear some music, scripture, prayer, and a short sermon.
And don’t worry — we don’t call out first time visitors during worship.
-
Nope. Come as you are or feel free to wear your ‘Sunday best’. We are primarily a casual congregation.
-
We take this part very seriously. When we say “all are welcome” — we mean it!

We love children of all ages at RHCC! We have a diverse group of children and young people and yours will be welcome. In a typical service, some children choose to sit at our “prayground table” in the sanctuary where they can engage in a structured activity that aligns with the service. Children often participate in the worship service as well, presenting liturgy or perhaps receiving a special Children’s Message. Children are then dismissed to Faith Formation, led by our Pastoral Associate for Children and Youth. You may also choose to have your children enjoy the entire service with you.

We partake of communion once a month. We believe that the communion table belongs to all and ALL are welcome to participate in the sacrament of communion. We use a non-alcoholic grape juice and bread, and always have a gluten-free option available.

Rocky Hill Congregational Church is at 805 Old Main Street in Rocky Hill, CT, just off the Silas Deane Highway.
-
There is on-street parking all around the church. In addition, we have full access to the Rocky Hill Municipal parking lot just behind the church.
-
Accessibility is something we are actively striving to improve. The church is accessible to those with mobility issues from the back door. A nearby elevator accesses all main levels, including the sanctuary level where worship services are held, and the lower level where our fellowship hall (Chapin Hall) is located. In addition, we have an assisted listening system with individual receivers for use during worship (please ask a greeter), and our zoom service recordings can be viewed in closed caption mode.
-
Our church was built in three phases, so it may feel confusing the first time you visit. The front door takes you into the old “meeting house” or “sanctuary” which is where Sunday worship is held. The side door also leads up to the sanctuary or down to our fellowship hall (Chapin Hall). The back door leads through our two additions to the sanctuary at the far end. There are many signs to direct you to the sanctuary, but if you’re feeling lost, just ask someone!
-
Our services begin at 10am. Some people like to come early to visit with others, some walk in at 9:59am.
And no worries if you’re late — we’ll save you a seat!
