Celebrating Us — Our 300th Birthday

A Big Milestone
We will celebrate our 300th birthday in 2027!
Rocky Hill Congregational Church is one of the oldest churches in Connecticut, formed before Rocky Hill was a town, before Connecticut was a state, and before the United States was a country! June 7, 2027 is designated as our official birthday, though we hope to celebrate this milestone over much of that year.
Formerly known as Stepney Parish, Rocky Hill was incorporated from Wethersfield in 1843. Rocky Hill Congregational Church predates the town by more than 100 years, occupying a significant spot in the town center. The current beautiful meeting house is not the original, but it is over 200 years old and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
We have formed a committee and we’re collecting ideas to make our 300th birthday a very special event.
Our celebration will take many forms and will include our entire congregation as well as the town of Rocky Hill and the surrounding region.
Please watch this space for updates as we progress toward this significant milestone.
